Your Committee is pleased to announce that, after a wait of nearly 18 months, it has at last received its Inscription which means it is now registered and is a formal legal entity. 

For the liaison link with the 5 Clubs Nautico to be effective, inscription was essential. Without it CBYA could not register with the RFEV, the Spanish Sailing Federation (equivalent of the RYA), and the club and its members are effectively barred from entering any event organised under the auspices of the RFEV until CBYA is registered.

A copy of the Association's inscription has been lodged with Real Club Nautico Calpe who will arrange for CBYA to be registered with the RFEV.

As most of you know Ron Shanson is selling his Catamaran to make way for a new boat ordered at the Barcelona boat show. Nearly all of us have, at some time in the past sailed with Ron on his cat, and will miss her spacious accommodation and performance.

She is a Prout Snowgoose Elite 37, and has a very full inventory. Powered by a 35 hp inboard Yanmar Diesel with good accommodation for eight in four cabins.

Ron is asking £50,000 and has suggested she would be ideal as a syndicated boat. What a great idea if such a syndicate could be found within the CBYA to avoid loosing this lovely boat to the club.
