Club Nautico Events

The spring series of Club Nautico races have now been completed. There will be a further five race series starting in the autumn.

In order to participate in any Club Nauticos events you must be Registered with the Valencian sailing authorities. Full details from Peter Hooker (peterghooker@hotmail.com) or Tim  Fawle (timfawle@gmail.com)

 CBYA Sailing Events

We hope to be able hold our usual social sailing events again this year, subject to the availability of boats. A list of events will be published shortly. If any member has any ideas of what type of sailing events they would like to take part in, please liaise with your sailing coordinator Peter Hooker.

We are currently looking at charter options for next summer, 2009. No location has been chosen yet, but suggestions are Greece, Turkey, or Croatia. The idea would be to make a block booking for as many boats as possible. If we book early we can get good discounts. Come Hobie Cat Sailing

Hobie cats have been reserved for three separate days at Bassettes Water Sports Centre on the Moraira/Calpe road. Boats have been reserved for the following days:

Wednesday 11th June

Wednesday 23rd July

Wednesday 10th September

Start around 1230 on all days.

If you have never been on a fast sailing catamaran now is your chance. They are very fast, great fun, and very wet! Contact Peter Hooker to get your name on the list.

Bring a picnic or eat in the local bar.

Jubilee Sailing Trust

Does anyone fancy a week of proper big boat sailing? Peter Hooker has reserved a berth on board "Tenacious" a 65 metre, three masted  barque operated by the Jubilee Sailing Trust. The trust owns, and operates two ships which have been built and fitted out to enable physically handicapped people of all ages to go sailing.

Peter is joining the ship in the Caneries next March, (9th - 16th) and would welcome any CBYA members to join him. He has a few brochures and application forms available. Contact Peter for full details.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We have now moved to a new location for our Monday night club meetings. All future club nights will be held at Bar Mediterraneo in Teulada. As usual from 8.00pm. Our first meeting in our new location will be Monday 9th June and then on 2nd: 3rd: & 4th Monday of every month.

Please note that there will be no "Special Nautical Evening" at a Club Nautico in August. Our next event is the Moriara Beach Party at the end of August. Details of the next CN event will be announced as soon as a venue and topic has been arranged.
